Students and staff at Tapton School Academy Trust are celebrating their GCSE success today.
Tapton Secondary School, Forge Valley Secondary School and Chaucer Secondary School have secured strong results to open up Post-16 pathways, as students continue to realise their life chances and dreams.
Highlights from each school include:
Tapton Secondary School
It has been another outstanding year at Tapton. 67% of students achieved a strong pass in both English and Maths and 20% of all grades achieved were grades 8 or 9. These sustain the strong performance over time at Tapton School, in times of continuing uncertainty in education and the distinct lack of funding.
These results reflect the hard work of both staff, students and the tremendous support provided by families.
Kat Rhodes, Headteacher, said: “We’re really proud of all our students. We wish them all the very best in the future and look forward to welcoming many of them into our 6th form in September.”
Two students achieved a full suite of grade 9s (10 in total) – an amazing achievement.
