Climate Change - Action by our community

We’re really proud of all involved in this project and hope it inspires others to take action.

We would like to share with you some positive news from the community.

A number of parents and students from Tapton and Hallam plus Mia Hale a student in Y10 at Tapton have performed and recorded a song entitled 'Worried Mum'. This is all linked to climate change and COP26. See link to You Tube: https://youtu.be/3TaiFncBMSg

This was mentioned in the House of Commons on Thursday last week, when Olivia Blake raised the issue of mums being concerned about their children's future due to climate change.

Mia also appeared in an interview about the song in Look North on Friday lunchtime and Friday evening. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m00111mw/look-north-yorkshire-lunchtime-news-29102021

Mia and other members of the group were also interviewed by Deutsche Welle radio (the German 'World Service'), which has an audience of about 200 million people per week.

We’re really proud of Mia and all involved in this project and hope it inspires others to take action.
