Staff and pupils at Hillsborough Primary School are celebrating after receiving a ‘Good’ report by Ofsted.

The school, which is part of Tapton School Academy Trust, has maintained it’s ‘Good’ judgement across all areas following an inspection on 25th and 26th May.

The report, published on 21 July, highlights:

  • “Leaders have high ambitions for all pupils.”
  • “There is a positive learning culture throughout the school”
  • “Pupils feel safe. They trust staff to help if they have a problem.”

The visit was the first to be carried out at the school following the pandemic. Since pupils have returned to school leaders have prioritised reading, positive relationships, and curriculum development through the ethos of Believe, Belong, Become.

Nicola Wileman, Headteacher, said: “We are delighted that the inspection highlighted the hard work of staff and pupils on our key development areas.
