Current School Arrangements - Updated 25th June 2020

It has been another positive week, and we are pleased to be welcoming more learners back into our schools. Thank you to all of our families and communities for your continued support.

Following the positive feedback we have received, and as we move towards the summer holiday, we have reviewed the support that our learners require in order to plan for a smooth transition back to full learning in September (which is currently the Governments ambition). The Trust Board have approved the following recommendations for arrangements for next week (w/c Monday 29th June).

Primary Schools

From Monday 29th June, our primary schools will welcome back Year 6 pupils.

From this point, to the end of term, our primary schools will therefore be open for:

  • Key Worker and Vulnerable Children
  • Nursery (where applicable)
  • Reception pupils
  • Year 1 pupils
  • Year 6 pupils

Distance learning will continue to be provided for those year groups not in school.

Secondary Schools

From Monday 29th June, our secondary schools will support Trust primaries with the transition of Year 6 pupils, and welcome them into school 2 days per week.

Our secondary schools will also offer further learning support, in the form of consultation meetings and/or small group teaching, to a wider range of year groups, including Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9.

From this point, to the end of term, our secondary schools will therefore be open for:

  • Key Worker and Vulnerable Children
  • Year 6 pupils from Trust primaries
  • Year 10 students for consultations and small group teaching
  • Year 12 students (where applicable) for consultations and small group teaching
  • Year 7 students for consultation meetings with their form tutor
  • Year 8 students for consultation meetings with their form tutor
  • Year 9 students for consultation meetings with their form tutor

Each school will have its own key focus for consultations and teaching, based on the needs of their learners. Your headteacher and senior leadership team will be communicating the details with you.

Distance learning will continue to be provided.
